One-time sign up, before your first sighting

The Brisbane Air 50 happens outdoors, around real wildlife, so we ask everyone to register properly before they start logging sightings — see why, and what happens to your information. It only takes a minute.

Please Read
Your Privacy

What we collect: your display name, full legal name, date of birth, address, phone, and email — once, here at registration — plus a parent/guardian consent tickbox if you're under 18.

What's public: only your display name, species tally, and most recent sighting date, on the Leaderboard and Hall of Fame. Everything else is never published or available through the public API — only Georgie, as project admin, can see it. Your address is used to post a finisher's coin if you're among the first fifty to complete all fifty; the rest is kept as a registration record, mainly so anyone who harms a participant or wildlife can be identified and banned.

Data is stored with Supabase, hosted in Australia. To correct, remove, or ask what's held about you, contact curiositybygeorgie@gmail.com. This isn't formal legal advice — the registration flow should be reviewed against the Australian Privacy Act before launch.

Registration isn't open yet

Thanks for your interest! The Brisbane Air 50 hasn't officially launched yet — registration will open once everything's ready, including a proper legal review of this registration flow (see the privacy note above). Check back soon, or see the Rules & Regulations in the meantime.

" after the form) and remove the "Not Yet Open" block above. assets/register.js already no-ops safely when this form isn't present (`if (!form) return;`), so nothing else needs to change to take it back out again.

This is what appears on the Leaderboard and Hall of Fame, what you'll type each time you log a sighting, and — if you're one of the first fifty finishers — what gets engraved on your coin, so pick something you'll remember and stick with it. It must be unique; if it's taken, try adding an initial or suburb.

Never shown publicly and never engraved — kept for our registration records and for addressing the envelope, if you're one of the first fifty to finish. Your display name, above, is what goes on the coin.

Pick a suggestion to fill in suburb, state and postcode automatically — or just type your address in manually.

Used only to post out a finisher's coin if you're one of the first fifty to complete all fifty — never shown publicly.

You'll enter this alongside your display name whenever you log a sighting, so no one else can log sightings under your name. Keep it simple — there's no self-service reset, so if you forget it you'll need to email curiositybygeorgie@gmail.com.
